Can someone really hurt you by linking you to 1000’s of bad neighborhoods?

Traffic is up by 30%, doesn’t seem a bad thing yet.
No idea why this item has been sphunn so much - all it does is observe that sites get scraped. Where’s the news in that?Not Desphunn, though, as perhaps that’s just a matter of taste.2c.
I read the article and I didn’t see him complaining about loss of traffic or rankings...so what’s the problem?

@ Kalena - so sorry about that... its just JD....@iBrian - not sure is shows scraping at all - it loooks like an actual attempt to get someone chucked out of serps by linking them to bad neighbourhoods. @darkmatter - thats because its early days - we don know whther the site would be penalised or not... sphun this so people could suggest ways of combating it - and we have had some pretty helpful responses...
