I havent had a chain letter yet but have noticed that some activists plant their cause totems in the ground and I feel like I need to twist around all their stuff to find them. Im all for standing up and speakng out, but not creating causes as a barrier.
I removed the fun wall application when I received a chain letter thingee. Much nicer without it.I also have been unfriending people who invite me to too many things where you know they just invited everyone on their list.
Thanks for the Sphinn, Kim. I only recently started to have these problems. But, now that I started to get the chain messages they are coming more often.Yes, I think I will be removing the FunWall. Ive de-friended the person who sent it and will continue doing so if necessary..... Ive also emailed Facebook about it.The odd thing is that I thought I was being very selective about who I friended back on Facebook.
Ive pretty much given up on Facebook. My hobby site has a 1500+ member group there, so Ill login once in a while to say hello and share some of our latest news, but too many friend requests to go through, application requests, pokes, etc. This reminds me that Ive been meaning to write a post about FB.....
Ya despite how cool FB is for developers, I cant ignore the fact that I dont use it that much. Im not sold on it being an effective place for marketers... maybe its a good place to network and try to get people to go to meetups? Its certainly a fine place to waste time, but thats not my goal!
