Good set of questions. but did anyone notice the permalink? It says:

"Question-Answers-With-Googles-Spam-Guru"

That's funny. Good use of the post slug. :)

So many 'no answers'.

Perhaps Matt is checking into the unanswered topics in more detail, and plans to blog about themt himself soon. :)

Matt said "The rest deserve longer answers and I'm too swamped to do a full reply, or the question is not how I'd pose it, so multiple answers (or none) could apply or the answer is more nuanced."

All in all, good job Rand.

This will help certain people in the 'nofollow' debate. I'm thinking particularly of one popular group of SEO's who I (accidentally -- not my style) debated with recently. Sometimes SEOs forget about the simple mechanics, and start filling in blanks with imagination. Even some of the long-timers. Their theories/guesses are protected as facts, then defended to the death. But they are still just theories.
