Very well written! The use of heathcare analogies made this very understandable. Jill Whalen really knows "her stuff".

Thanks, guys! Using Google’s text cache is just one of many tools you can use to diagnose your website’s health. I was originally planning on writing about a bunch of them, but realized that one had so many different uses that it made an article in and of itself! One of the most fun things about SEO is diagnosing the problems that a website has, and it seems to be my particular strong point as well. There’s nothing better than scrutinizing a website and putting all the pieces together to find out where it’s leaving money on the table!

You learn something new every day. I’ve always used third-party spider simulators to run these checks, but getting confirmation straight from the horse’s mouth is a much better option, especially when you’re providing a POV to a client. Thanks for sharing, Jill! It’s always nice to eat heaping spoonful of humble pie and realize that there are still little undiscovered tips and tricks lurking out there. That’s what makes SEO a truly spiritual venture.

Definitely, Hugo. There’s nothing more clear to a client than showing them a screenshot of a blank Google cache.  That’s one thing that can often spur them into action.

Just a quick note - your example URL has a space in it on the &strip=1 parameter which causes google to show the normal cache.Great tutorial though.
