"advice is to not just create an account and let it sit unused" Great article by jfj3rd and still a approach largely under utilized by many.

It has always bugged me to click a link and land on a page that is empty with the exception of a single link pointing somewhere. Can we say SPAM? Now I understand if you create an account somewhere and can’t update it right away but don’t intentionally build & ditch. I created my MyBlogLog account two - four months before I actually used it but I hadn’t added my URL or anything like that yet so that kind of thing in my book is ok. Take a look at LinkedIn. You don’t get 100% complete without a ton of work done to your profile. That should be typical for all Social Networks in one form or another. I’m also all for the 90 day expiration rule where if you don’t login at least once during 90 days, your account gets removed. Planetc1, thanks for the compliments. I really can write when I am motivated I swear! JJ
