Makes Podcast Listening Easy! Dial and Listen to The Daily SearchCast

Simply dial +1 (512) 696-0729 the number and listen to Danny's latest SearchCast.

For about a year I've been writing about (as have others) an idea that could make podcasts/webcasts easier for the typical user (not the geek) to listen to.

Is this the next big thing. Who knows? I do think it's a "thing." Why? It makes content much more accessible to the end user who is not a geek.

In the post linked above we discuss both direct streaming to smartphones (if you have enough bandwidth in your phone plan) to handle the material.

Next, we look at dialing a plain ol' telephone number to listen.

UpSNAP has been doing work in this area for quite some time.

The learning curve, especially for the simple dial and listen concept goes down to almost zero.

In other words, if you can dial a phone number, you can listen on a mobile/cell/or landline.

So, even those with the most basic phones and tech skills can now listen either on the road or at home.

At the present time you can only listen to one program at a time using the regular phone but archives can be streamed on demand.

It's likely that more phone numbers (let's say with a specific extension) will allow archives to be made available over the phone. Again, much more in the post.

The bottom line is that this content and ad opps/branding more accessible to the non-geek.

FAST FACT: A great resource for those with the tools and bandwidth to stream live radio stations from the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and Ireland is
