I printed this out as soon as I downloaded it. I'm going to hand it to the developer I work with this afternoon. Simply put: awesome resource.
An excellent post - and the writer provides a PDF download to boot. Covers everything from important HTML tags to search engine indexing limits, recommended title tag syntax, common canonical issues, 301 Redirect code, important search engine robot user agents, etc. All in a handy neat reference sheet that you can plaster to your white board. Nice job on this one Danny.
Fantastic work from Danny at SEOmoz! Everyone starting out in their SEO careers should laminate it and use it as a mouse mat.
I re-tweeted this to my gang... they loved it ;)
Wow.... This is a great resource! Especially since I am about to build my first site!! Cheers :)
just WOW
bookmarked.
It's a great article/download. I've reposted it on Twitter. Speaking of Twitter. Meta Descriptions could be optimized to be tweet sized (do you need the extra 15 chars?)?
Just a minor point that the audience it seems to be aimed at refers to "tags" as elements. Tags is more of a non-tech web person term.
This is a nice seo cheat sheet. However, if you want a complete seo cheat sheet, check out EXPERT Webmasters at www.expert-webmasters.com. It is easy to read and follow and contains hundreds of the most effective seo techniques, tips, tools and links on search engine optimization.
