Guy Kawasaki is slamming Twitter all day long promoting his two pet projects. Would we even know about these sites if Guy was not involved with them since neither site brings anything new to the table?

Edit: spamming changed to slamming.

MLMBlogExpert: How can you complain about some of Guy's tweets being links to his sites when most of yours are links to your site?

I don't understand the problem. Why don't you simply stop following him?  (Quit Whining)

I'm a Guy fanboy also, but I think you're missing the point of the post.

Is this spam? No. People opt-in to Guy's Twits.  They can leave at any time.

Is it abusing the situation and his stature in the Mac Community? Now, that's a whole 'nother question. As one of the original Apple Fellows, Guy Kawasaki holds high esteem among us long-time Mac users (my first Mac was the first Mac). In fact, back in the day, (like 1990 or so) he and I had some interesting back-and-forths.

Like me, many folks wanted to see what he had to say on a number of topics - or just your normal Twitter blurbs. But the constant hawking of these two products (what 20-30/day) - with nothing else of substance - well, it was very disappointing to say the least. Although I have a lot of respect for the man, I can't buy into his Twitter strategy.

I opted out.

Haha.  I knew Jack Spam.  Jack Spam was a friend of mine.  And you sir, are no Jack Spam. (loud clapping).

All top is a great idea and it definetely does have something to offer.

Alltop is just another knock off of OriginalSignal.com  Nothing wrong with that, most sites are knock offs of other peoples ideas.

Whether or not Alltop or Truemors are good products or not is immaterial. Frankly, I think they both have merit.

But if someone kept shoving filet mignon in your face 20-30 times a day, sooner or later, you'd develop an aversion to it. (with apologies to my vegan friends)

The whole point is that he crossed the line.

I know he's commented on the issue but paraphrasing his response.

I've spent 20 years "paying it forward" so I could market my products for $0. For the people who say these sites wouldn't get the same attention if Guy wasn't involved I say you have firm grasp of the painfully obvious.

not a direct quote but you get the gist any misquotes are my bad memory.
