SEO is becoming a bigger piece of the marketing pie. Jenn Osborne writes "Those who have been in the industry since the late 90’s have seen huge changes in SEO. The industry has really matured. But in the grand scheme of things, if you were to plot SEO on a product life cycle chart you would see that the industry is still in its’ infancy.

Except that we’re poised for some serious growth."

Excellent point there. It’s amazing to think about how long it takes businesses to realize the imporance of SEO. The positive sight is the growth potential of the industry. Will the SEO market be swallowed and merged into the big marketing agencies? As advertising continues to die, it’s not unlikely they will follow their clients in that direction.
