My understanding is that this is being done for tracking purposes and is a part of the service I signed-up for. That's fine, but why use a 302 and hoard link equity? If other web sites are republishing my content I should benefit by receiving the link popularity.
My request to Feedburner, please stop using the 302 and change it to a 301 Permanent Redirect.
If you agree with my request, please Sphinn this.

You can do this yourself within FeedBurner settings. See:http://blogs.feedburner.com/feedburner/archives/2007/04/whats_up_with_that_vol_3_seo_1.php
Just switch off the tracking unless you are a media mogul who gets so many links that the ones you lose from the redirects are insignificant.
Whilst it isn't amazingly useful, Technorati is valuable in that it is used as part of monetization calculations.
Technorati doesn't follow even 301 redirects, thus you lose a lot of links from low quality sites and even some from notable top bloggers when they make a mistake and copy a link from their feed reader.
Are you sure Danny? It appears the document you refer to is about redirecting from your original feed to the Feedburner feed on the originating blog website.
I am interested in the link on other websites, where the article is republished, linking to the original content through Frrdburner.
Of course, I could be wrong.
Scroll down to the clickthrough tracking part. You can do a 301 or 302 redirect there. Do a 301, that means when your feed is put on another site, the URLs will 301 to you.
