Yahoo! is shutting down their ambassador program for certifying professional PPC managers. Does this mean theyll also shut down Panama, their over-hyped, under-performing ad platform, and join Googles advertising network instead?

I noticed this also this past Friday and asked almost the same exact question on the highrankings forum of whether or not this signaled the end of Yahoos Search Marketing platform. The action of shutting down the program (perhaps only temporary?) may not be directly related to the future of Panama in general, but it sure is quite peculiar and leads to speculation.
Its very interesting and maybe a sign of the "calm before the storm" Well, at least for a conspiracy theorist like myself.
Ive heard a few months ago from Yahoo that they have been thinking of cancelling the Ambassador Program and I guess it may finally be happening.Rumor has it that they intend to replace the program with a more robust version similar to Googles MCC (My Client Center) where you can manage multiple accounts from one access point and interface.Maybe they are about ready to release their own editor tool that Ive been hearing about as well...Nice catch, lets see how this plays out.
Yahoo is sputtering like an old engine about to die. Perhaps Google should buy then up -Goohoo, anyone?
Exact words from my YSM biz dev rep on Apr 29th by email: "It’s kind of in limbo at the moment", "Since the ambassador program for new members has been temporarily put at a standstill, we can’t make any changes in the system at the time including in the certification pages."
@xurxo well it would be nice if theyd create an MCC and an MDS...
