For a long time I didn’t bother to try to “optimize” my blog for search engines. I didn’t really know anything about it, and it all seemed to complicated. I’m sure now there are more “tricks” that can be done, but we get pretty steady incoming google traffic. We got well over 1,000 searches last month alone. Post mentions about using anchor text in the name field on people’s blogs - not something I agree with as it looks like a spammy attempt at link dropping. Apart from that an interesting read.

If the message isn’t spammy there isnt much to worry about. Blogs with do-follow and top comment lists should be used to it
