It’s amazing to think that just about ‘anyone’ can write an article about ‘anybody’ or ‘anything’ on Wikipedia. Is it just me, or does that concept seem faulty at best? The only advantage of this system is that masses of information can be quickly written and updated - but that does not necessarily mean that the people editing or administering this website are so-called ‘experts’ in the fields they are editing.

I Sphunn it. However, personally these issues are not new, been around for ages. Ranting about Wikipedia almost feels like the old days of venting about Dmoz all the time and the issues.

I don’t think Wikipedia will ever fail. It’s part of the "semantic web" - many sites are going in the direction taken by Wikipedia in 2001. What really worries me is the presence of porn at Wikipedia. I mean serious hardcore, present on pages rated as "general content"
