Basically you must be able to read between the lines here. I'm astounded as to how lazy some readers seem to be. For slower ones: These are linkbait ideas. Most of them have been successfully tried already.

I hope you're not calling me lazy or slow, cuz that's rude.  They are insane ideas... they might generate backlinks, and they may be examples of linkbait, but they're not practical for any of my clients... are you really using these ideas for your clients?

bbcarter: If you call my content "useless" without understanding it I'll call you "lazy". In German we say "How you shout into the woods so they resonate". Of course this is a humorous take on link bait ideas. Nonetheless most of these are not made up but have been executed already. Most notably making up stories: Lyndoman did it. So if you do not understand write "I don't get it" instead of it's "useless".
This is no "link bait for dummies" article so you have to think yourself how to execute it. You probably won't risk self combustion but will find similar ideas you can execute.
