I agree that its important to remember the intangible benefits of social networking; however, how do you sell that to your client (who wants something in black and white to prove the success of the project)?
Exactly, it can be a tricky sell. The best thing is to show them examples of companies that have succesfully established themselves on these networks.
A case study would probably be best in that situation.
One way of showing how social media is unstoppable is by showing how many new accounts per platform is happening on an continuing basis. Facebook alone claims there are 100,000 new users per day. Show them the stats and it will make their heads spin!!
