AboutUs.Org was one of the great free Wiki resources for webmasters looking to create a page about their websites, and get a little bit of link love flowing to start things off. It appears, as of this week, that AboutUs.org is now automatically adding the "nofollow" attribute to all external links on the website. Sadly, another great little link building tool bites the dust!

We explain our temporary nofollow policy on the AboutUs.org blog. In short, we want to dissuade spammers and other bad actors and reward the people who’ve spent time building their sites and acting together in community. The nofollow is only temporary, unless you’re a spammer.

This is a bit late, but shortly after defaulting to no follow AboutUs announced its "ProFollow" policy in which it gives link love to good actors on the web that have a nice page on AboutUs.org. Details here: http://www.aboutus.org/ProFollow
