Yes, BUT - this is another potential example of traffic for traffics sake.What did those people searching Google for Facebook actually do on the client site?
Googe News can be tremendous driver of traffic. Ive worked with a startup that now drives tens of thousands of Google News referrals per month.
It seems comments like this are common for my last 2 blog posts. You guys need to remember that traffic is not all about getting something like RSS subscribers.I wouldnt say this is traffic for traffics sake, people were clicking through to news on the site and finding a relevant article. If it helps, a few of our clients get paid via advertisers on the number of impressions their ads receive (nothing to do with us), and of course it is always great for branding.
