...huh? Not all of linkbait is blackhat just like not all of SEO is blackhat. *shakes head*
I share the same view about excessive exclamation points.
submitter has online theft problems. i do not trust going to his site, much less reading his content.
Well I agree that everytime its not Blackhat its white hat sometimes !! But don't u guys think that Linkbait about what Matt had discussed on his blog in 2006 http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/seo-advice-linkbait-and-linkbaiting/ was different ? and now its like a Joke !! Every 2nd day we have one !!
I'll be honest. I don't see much of a coherent argument here, so it's hard to debate or explain.
The closest I see is it's making social news/media a joke...but Google could care less about that. And it doesn't make it blackhat. And beyond that, social news+media IS(almost without exception) linkbait, and has been since it's inception.
I don't really understand how Matt Cutts even factors into this, other than the occasional commentary that is normally pretty vague. And beyond that, I completely fail to see how Matt's comments on misspelling domains has anything to do with link bait in the first place. Fake linkbait? There's possible implications, but it's still not blackhat, and it's not google's job to police the ACCURACY of information(even if they do so rarely, it will NEVER be common practice).
This offers nothing new and is merely using the buzz words of the current debate to get traction.
