Search Engine Land - A reader sent us an example of the new Google Merchant Search live and in the wild. What’s Google Merchant Search? After a little poking around, it appears to be a new but unannounced program in beta where people can comparison shop services like loans.

Hmmm... Getting into lead generation... Looks cool. Sounds good for everybody except people who do that sort of thing for a living.

Here’s yet another thing to blur the lines of SEO- once that becomes part of universal searchblended search results.  We’re already managing Google Local profiles for our SEO and PPC clients... since so much of top results for some of our clients is local biz results, and to do local biz ads in PPC...Coordinating information to Google for local biz, merchants, etc. is becoming a bigger task in its own right.
