Telling me twitter is a waste of time reminds me of the famous Kravitz song "Use Me"My friends feel its their appointed dutyThey keep trying to tell meall you want to do is use mebut my answer about all that use me stuffI want to spread the news that if it feels this good getting usedYou can keep on using meKeep on using meUntil you use me up:)
this song is actually by bill withers. but else youre right.
It appears to be a case of "it depends". It doesnt take much to make a return on a nominal (although persisitent) investment in time with communities like Twitter. Michaels comments on the post show some great examples.
Time waster, for the most part. But which social media site isnt?
I totally agree with toprank. It totally depends, for some people I think it is a total waste of time for others they use it to benefit them and dont waste time at all.
In my case, I find Twitter as a very useful tool..its also a good way to meet people and of course, to promote your site.
Sure the Internet is just a time waster/sarcasmlike in the good ol days, now we know how to use it as a great tool, same thing happens for IM 5 years ago, same thing now for micro blogging...
