This is priceless Rose. I was reading it to my husband and my son replied "Google's broke." My hubby is having the same problem with Adbrite. They are six weeks past due.
Well if someone reads it then they would believe it at the first place.A company like Google. Can we ever imagine it getting into this.
Don't you have to wonder why the bank wouldn't be covering Google's checks considering how much money they ought to be making on the float? The best part about it is hopefully anyone who has ever had a problem with their bank will now forgive themselves and quit assuming someone else was cheating them when they weren't.
Just recently I had a client try to send $1000 by PayPal who ended up with that money in limbo. He didn't have it and neither did I. Because I kept contacting PayPal over and over they finally gave his money back - but he couldn't pay me.
So now it is two months instead of one, so they tried to wire $2000 to my regular bank account. The money left their account. My bank said it could be 6-8 hours before they could confirm. This is a reliable, honest client so I paid some bills and bought some groceries. (The horses, dogs, cats, and people like to eat around here.) Big mistake. The money never showed up and neither bank was of any help. That money floated around in limbo for months and then suddenly got deposited back into their account - no details, no explanation - just suddenly $2000 more in their account.
Can you imagine what that poor client thinks I'm thinking about THEM? I know it isn't their fault. This is why we've got to quit being suspicious of everyone - or at least the honest ones. Is this the huge coincidence of both PayPal and bank incompetence? Am I on some watch list because I'm pro-peace or threaten corporate greediness? Or are they messing with this client because he happens to be originally from Russia and travels back and forth? Who knows? Once I get caught up and get my blog going I'll smooth things over with the client. They're good, honest people and that is who I choose to help with my strategies.
Think how awful people have been made to feel about making a mistake and bouncing a check - or even being treated like a criminal - as though banks NEVER make mistakes themselves. Look at those farmers who are committing suicide either because they feel like failures or to give their families enough insurance money to keep eating. We've got to stop letting others define how we see ourselves.
Bankrupt? No credit? No designer duds? No tract home with two new cars in the driveway, 2.2 children, a white picket fence, and two chickens in every pot? Who cares? Success = living your life YOUR way, being who you truly desire to be, not being beholden to anyone, living your truths, and not caring what anyone else thinks.
Self esteem and peace come from within - not without.
Shorted the title to focus on what happened -- funny story! Unless, you know, it happens to you :)
"Unless, you know, it happens to you"
Danny... heh... I actually tracked her Alexa right around the time this happened. At least she got a little fame for a while because of this. That had to help at least a little. :)
She had a 3 months increase of 5,471% :D
As I recall, the account had plenty of money, and as best we could tell, it was an error on the part of the bank teller.
The funniest part was matt's voicemail boilerplate, if that is even the right term:
Matt: This voicemail box is not active. It is not checked on a regular basis. Do not leave messages in this voicemail box. Beep.
Translation: Matt's a google busyboty
