More to the above, I’m happy to announce that Rob Kerry is coming onboard to fill the role of Sphinn editor. Many of you will know Rob from various forums as evilgreenmoney, and for the past few months he’s been running the Search Engine Watch Forums. Frank Watson – AussieWebmaster – takes over there (congrats, Frank). Rob posted the news there, as well: http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/showthread.php?t=19538 Rob’s last day there will be on September 18, so his first official day here will be September 19. However, he’s actually live here getting ready for his new job. Rob’s role will be to work with all the Sphinn moderators, provide a steady hand on a day-to-day basis to watch over the site and oversee the further development of the site. I’ll still be around, of course – but my time gets divided up between Search Engine Land, Sphinn, the SMX conferences and other things – and Sphinn deserves someone watching over it on a consistent basis. Speaking of the site development, we expect to be out of beta officially within two weeks or so. We’ve continued to add features as you’ll find listed here http://sphinn.com/story/1558. We’ve got some additional essentials to get up to lose that beta title, though even after that, we’ll still be improving things. Also, I’ve never formally posted who all the hardworking moderators are who look over the site and watch out for spam. They are: Vanessa Fox Michael Gray Rebecca Kelley Rae Hoffman Matt McGee Neil Patel Barry Schwartz Mikkel deMib Svensen Tamar Weinberg Chris Winfield We’ll have a formal staff page up listing everyone in a week or two at most!
Congrats Rob, I would be happy to help if you ever need anyone else. Although I assume you would only want people who you have met in person :) That moderators list looks like some Elite Internet Marketing company ;)
This is so damn cool :) Congats, Rob - they couldnt have gotten someone better for the role.
Is it just me or is this particular monkey sorta taking over the world? Congrats evil!
Welcome Rob & congrats.
Wow! No idea so many people were already working on things here. You are all appreciated, love this site.
Honestly this could not have gone to anyone any more deserving. Rob, you are truly a wonder and Im so proud of you. Congratulations sir.
Heh Rob, you do realise that being an Editor here means that youll spend more time online, and that means less beer-drinking time for you, and that means more beer for all of us :-)
Grats Rob, and Frank too.
CONGRATS ROB! Thats awesome news for you, Danny and the Wonderful World of Sphinn and Search Engine Marketing.
Good work fella - where the hell do you (or any of the other moderators for that matter) find the time?! ;)
Well done Rob, the force is strong with you!!
Thanks everyone :)
