Kinda interesting as I was just whining about the double edged sword that is *Karma* - nice to see some activity from the developers

Plurkable - Many dedicated plurkers will attest the Karma system is cool but at the moment it basically just rewards activity. In a public place activity has to be of social nature to be beneficial. You could go to a busy party and just yell out disconjuncted gribbel which wouldn’t bring anything to the party and in fact would probably annoy other members.

Bah... why does Plurk karma matter anyway. Isn’t it about socialising and networking...?

Well, there has been a propensity for folks to plurk crap aka PlurkSpam ;0) to get Karma up... so an attempt to lookat the problem. That along with the new ’mute’ system and they are at least attentive to the userbase.... for me, that’s the main lesson.Believe me bro, as you know, I spent more time trying to develop FriendFeed Profliles, rooms and interaction, this community is far more dynamic and receptive so far..... will it scale well? That’s what remains to be seen....
