Was it just me - When the new "flavor" of Google trends was officially announced on Googles blog, it didn’t work? It seems fine now, but for the first 24 hours, I just kept receiving an error message??

@PromotionYour absolutely correct. That was a mistake. This is the new "revamped" version with improved featrues that have been included in this post of why they can be benificial to an online business:http://www.directoryone.com/blog/internet-marketing/google-trends-predict-the-future-of-your-business/@purpleviewYou know how it is when anything new comes out, there is always bugs in the system, site goes down, etc... Over time, I am sure all these things will work themselves out.
