Great example of about every single social media rule on Digg completely broken..

I believe everyone should get into social media and become a Digg and Reddit user... Right after you read a few articles from the Social Media column on SEL.

What would be priceless is if you could all push it to the Front Page so we could say how every broken rule ever made a Digg front page.. Hah

I’ve actually seen this eccentric behavior before. Last year on Sphinn, I saw someone submitting a propeller story to Sphinn, and the propeller story linked to a digg story which linked to the source. I guess he hoped that sphinn users will go to propeller to vote it up and then propeller users will go to digg to vote it up and then he’ll get a frontpage. Noobs crack me up sometimes.

Hang on, so this takes you to a digg submission that he put in of his own sphinn submission that hardly anyone else has actually sphunn?  I feel dizzy.

The funny thing is, the article he is trying to promote is only a few sentences long. Maybe more effort should be put into writing the article in the first place.

The 2 sentence article contributes nothing to the "story". They got banned, Google told them why, and they fixed it. Seomoz already posted about it, so what is this telling me?

This is an example of someone trying to apply Internet marketing to social media marketing... They don’t quite "get it".

I just love the most recent comment. It sort of sums it all up in a succinct manner ; )

@Maki, I do remember that.  I think we discussed that when it happened. ;)One year later and I still don’t think he gets it.
