Google is displaying images in the SERPS for certain searches. However, the new images are only appearing for a very narrow band of searches. Something I've never seen before. Interesting.

Ya, I see that- good point.  So I'll put my comment here too, hope that duplication is ok:
Not seeing this in my search results- does that mean Google doesn't support gay rights in South Carolina, or just that Christopher Angus is trying to trick me into getting gay searches into my Google search history so they deliver gay search results to me more often?

Odd, try this:
http://www.google.com/search?q=gay&gl=us

Let me know if you see them now. That forces a "US" display to happen, which perhaps might override some South Carolina filtering, if that's even happening.

I see them too, but also when changed "us" to "dk" or "uk"
