- Sphinn It!
Should you Sphinn your own articles?
I joined Sphinn last year but I've only really became active in the community the last few days. I'd love to hear what people think about voting for posts from your own blog.
I posted about Sphinn the other day and Steven Bradley commented that he doesn't usually submit his own articles to Sphinn but if someone else does he will sphinn it.
What does everyone else think about :
* Suggesting articles from your own site
* Voting for articles from your own site which someone else suggested
Someone just added one of my posts to Sphinn and I voted for it though I wasn't sure if this was frowned upon or not so I'd love to hear what the general consensus is (as I'm still a newbie in this community).

It says right in the Guidelines:
"Yes, you can submit your own stories. In fact, we'd rather you directly submit your own stories you think are of interest to the community than have someone do it for you."

I too am very new to Sphinn and even more of a newbie to blogging (as in started my blog last week!).
If it were not for Sphinn I would have a zero distribution channel for my blog since I just beginning to develop a network of Search/Internet Marketing professionals. Sphinn gives everyone, no matter how large or small, an opportunity to get their material infront of our peers in the industry.
So I vote for it being okay to Sphinn your own articles no matter how it gets suggested.
After reading the same guidelines Matt mentioned, I submitted a posting I did for my company's blog.

I wasn't aware Sphinn encouraged you to submit your own posts. Is this not frowned upon within the community? I mean, would members not be less likely to sphinn suggestions from people who submit their own articles on a daily basis?
Well, sure, if you submit your own stuff every day, and it's crap, you'll pay the price. But if you write something you think is great, submit it.
