I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that widgetco.com is a real Web site. Who would have thought that wasn’t just an SEO’d example? Crazy times.

Seems to have a big assumption that somehow the people who order from a site all have sites themselves to do link exchanges with?  Seems a little market specific - if i’m selling general consumer products not going to be a big hit ratio.

Agree that it’s a great idea from an SEO perspective. But I do wonder about the perception of a normal customer. How will they feel about the request (if they even understand it)? Do we love trawling through the link request emails we receive?
