What is interesting to me is that the site in question is using a widget to manipulate Google's results. Tricky ground though for the Big G to step on.

Here is the widget site. It's quite clear they are doing this for the search engines. You can see this comment on the JavaScript alternative:
"This widget is more for fun and gaining exposure then for optimization--search engines do not index javascript, and though this widget contains hard-coded links, we recommend you use this in addition to the html widget above."
The only problem is that we can be pretty sure that Google is hand editing the top 10 for candidates names. We can hope to have some impact on the long tail, but I would be shocked to see anything break into the top 5. Probably better to edit the wikipedia listing or something....
