I was saddened to hear one of my favorite comedians, George Carlin, passed away Sunday. Clearly he touched many people. A quick look at Google Trends shows searches related to him have spiked up as well as for his famous "seven words you can’t say on TV."

The problem with using google trends is Try thishttp://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?q=george+carlin+7+words&date=2008-6-23&sa=XNow on the right side you will see at the blog results are spam. what they are doing is that they auto generate a blog post based  on the top trends and and just  display a false youtube clip. If you click on the so called clip you get spammed.

One of my favorite memories of George was in the 70’s and going to my friend’s house down the road and her mom would let us put on the album with the 7 words...and we’d laugh and laugh. Those were the days of Monty Python and Cheech and Chong too.Good times.

You should watch http://youtube.com/watch?v=RrvyrxUpibg&feature=related starting at around 4:30 and then change "passed away" to "died."

This is not meant to be insensitive.I’m not sure if this is a manual process or how they automate it, but regardless of competition, when things go hot on trends, the minimum cpcs go through the rough.I couldn’t bid on anything yesterday but misspellings of his name.  Even that was costly.
