Have any of you started to notice the new Google trend URL results showing up in the SERPs? Is Google just trying to get lots of search traffic when people type urls into the search box?

Google just updated their robots.txt to fix it:
http://trends.google.com/robots.txt

If they think these don't belong in the index why do they let other people use the same tactics?
