"On Tuesday instead of working I went to SES Hamburg (a leading search engine conference, sidenote for the uninitiated) for some fun" Now was it more than that?

For sarcasm to work, you need to share the punchline sooner. Reading the headline and description here gives a totally different story than the actual post, which is positive toward SES Hamburg. I get that its linkbait/clickbait, but theres no indication that the headline is a joke.
Agree, Kevin. Very confusing! And what does Danny have to do with it?
Actually, I think theres an English-as-a-second-language issue going on here. So Ill cut the writer some slack due to that.
I dont think you are expecting lots of phone calls just because you spoke in a conference.
Pardon me, if I did err, but as someone asked me at the conference "how do you manage to blog so much" I indeed blog often after work. Zombie blogging after 10h work is not the most valuable one. Anyways, wanting my money back as a speaker with free entry makes this obvious I thought ;-) I hope Matt Cutts doesnt ban my blog for spreading fake news now!OK, I censored all the ugly trash talk.
"I felt like a newborn" that was a funny translated phrase :-)But you left out the biggest benefit of all: the babes! Right? You get lots of chicks for speaking at Search conferences right? I mean, if not, I should cancel my gigs.
@bbcarter I havent gotten any babes out of it personally :D
@Jill LOL
bbcarter: No comment. Im married.
