It is a noble idea, but I am not sure who has time for volunteer projects these days.
Definitely a noble idea. Though unless you know what you're talking about, it's a very difficult subject for the average person to write about. I've counselled a few friends out of it in the distant past, but its draining, and you have to tread very, very carefully.
Hi DoshDosh,
I think your idea has true merit. Maybe if you could directly contact 10 powerful bloggers and ask them to create a post on this? Like you, my heart sinks when I see the harmful things people publish on the Internet. I would like to see them sunk to the very bottom of the SERPs to make it that much harder for unfortunate, disturbed people to find.
Maybe you could even start a How to Kill Yourself meme? Have the subject be the very best reasons why you should not commit suicide. Chances are, many people in our industry have struggled with depression or hopelessness at some point in their lives, and might be willing to share how they found strength or peace?
Good luck with this. It does me good to see someone caring about this.

I already rank #1 in Google for "how to kill someone else" (no quotes) if you ever get to that point - LOL.

If on-theme links count these days, I'd be happy to link out to a helpful "how to recognize that you actually deserve to live" resource from that page. Just shoot me the URL (doh!)
