Hmm, user name was registered 2007-07-10 while the site was still in test... so thats probably the real Matt Cutts. Well, John Honeck, at least you know that MC actually reads your blog.
Its not easy to play a joke when youve got people of the caliber of Matt Cutts and Michael Gray pointing out the trick! :)
OH Boy! I am going to have fun with this!
When checking graywolfs link notice the sponsored links for mat cutters?
:)
too phunny.
Matt, Pls upload your avatar http://www.mattcutts.com/images/inigo1.jpg to Sphinn. Just to be sure in future that its you who is posting, not a spammer or something :-)
Ah graywolf, you called out the trick too quickly. :)
Harith, I made the avatar better. Not great, but better. :)
Matt, You look great in that avatar :-)
teehee great one JLH
Umm Google Search Engine is gone too!!!!! http://www.google.com/search?num=0&hl=en&safe=off&q=google+search+engine&btnG=Search OMFG!!! and check this out http://www.google.com/search?num=0&hl=en&safe=off&q=google+page+rank&btnG=Search No more Page Rank yeahhhhh!!!!!!!
JLH, I cant believe you store my prank and didnt give me credit. :P Btw, more effective if you actually set the num value to a positive number, like num=100, and the results still show him as banned: http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&safe=off&num=%30&q=matt+cutts&btnG=Search
That is too funny. I love that trick!
mvandemar, stole is such an ugly word, I like republished instead :) I applied the concept based on a trick Id seen in an email, but seriously, send me (PM if youd like) a link to credit you with and I definitely will. I know of your sage advice given at DP and dont want to cheat you out of any credit due.
Heh! John, I was kidding, I dont need a link. :P I posted it on DP and SEOR... they caught on faster at SEOR, and there are *still* DPers who are replying after the first post because they cant be bothered to read the whole thread, wondering what is going on. :D Its a great way to scare the hell out of your friends, sending them a modified site: command of their websites*. ;) *as long as they dont have weak hearts, lol!
This is fun to send to people that do not pay their bills ontime
Heh. aglobalwarming, I can just imagine your emails: "I have removed you from the internet. Pay me ONE MILLION dollars for your site to show up again."
