I noticed this 2 weeks ago but didn't have the guts to make a blog post about it and try to predict anything!  It seems to have settled down for me over the last few days but other people may have different results.

In Germany it was really dramatic, Google even stopped indexing new blogs posts and social site submissions for a few days.

The rankings for 'seo' on Google.ca keep fluctuating. Sites on page 1 alternate with sites on page 2, though some are more fixed than others.

Hmm. Google uses some 70 Class-C blocks of IP address for search servers, where one Class-C block is summised to be either a single cluster, or several clusters in a single cage (a cluster being some 1000 to 2000 servers).

The search results seen at each cluster are quite different to each other at the moment. For some, it is a time-lag of new data not being available in all clusters, and for others it is likely a slightly different set of filtering and sorting of results in the SERPs.

When you connect to google.com, you get results from one particular cluster. Another user may be being served from a different cluster. Your next search result may very well come from a different cluster, hence different results.

There are some clusters that are not in rotation, and their results are never seen at google.com.  You need to directly access it by IP address or by GFE name to see them.

Use Mozilla Seamonkey or Mozilla Firefox with the ShowIP extension installed to see the IP of the server that you are accessing, and see that it changes quite often. Try some alternative IP addresses and see that others contain some quite different results. in some cases, those are the results that you will see at google.com in about two to three days time...

Feel free to use my simple tool:  for geo and data center specific google searches.

You can...
1) pick your location
2) pick a datacenter by IP
3) Disable personalized search

Shalom you are one big law suite waiting to happen, I seriously think you should make your own logo.

On the case of the serps, they have been changing hourly in the UK for at least the last month, possibly even more frequently.

Mridout196... you must be a lawyer in addition to an SEO expert!

I guess my use of the google logo is far different from your use on your own site:
(one example I found - http://www.seounique.com/blog/google-now-includes-search-within-search/ )

Actually my tool is not a search application its a url builder that creates a link, opened in a new window to Google's hosted search pages. I think that if I didn't let people know that the results were actual Google results using Google engine then it would be misleading consumers and infringing on trademark. At least that's my non-expert legal opnion.

I did add a little disclaimer about the logo in reaction to your response simply because I can see how the average person might be mislead, and I dont want to do that - so thanks for your comment.

Maybe I'm wrong about, or maybe Im right, and maybe the web is a little more flexible in terms of using a logo like I had in this case.

In the end I would remove or change the logo happily if I knew it was necessary, but I'm not convinced - anyone who knows better can correct me If I am wrong - I would appretiate it.

Its hard to believe that I'm a "big law suit waiting to happen" especially considering its a noncommercial site that really only links to Google's site where they are serving their ads and results unalterted without any credit to my site. I could see how they might be angry though about more links and more traffic ;)
