This has been on my ind a lot lately. Besides the obvious-ness of his article, the security threat of Google is beginning to freak me out day by day. I’m starting to take measures to move my life away from Google so it isn’t controlled nearly as much.

Great piece. The only beef I have with it is the "what if" sub title (probably not Cory’s own) - reminds me of mainstream media posing nonsensical rhetorical questions like "are we on the way towards the surveillance state", as if this were a case of future tense. Not that things can’t get even worse, they sure can and most probably will, but pretending that it’s all not there YET is mere obscurantism.
