Myth 2. I think you're wrong.
Duplicate Content, duplicate page titles and meta descriptions, URL canonical problems, and a whole host of other "technical" issues can cause a site to completely tank in rankings, and visitor flow to dry up.
There's been quite a long discussion or two over at WebMasterWorld for at least the last week or two on this very topic, recently reviving the stuff that was first raised some time back in 2004 or 2005 or so..
Success is a mix of content, technical issues, linking, and promotion. They are all important.
Myth 5: I just stabbed myself in the eye with a pencil after reading this.
Myth #6...there is no......Myth #6.
Myth #7 - If you say "BLOODY DANNY" at 3 AM 16 times while looking at "view source" of google blog search, then "Bloody Danny" will apear and host a WebMaster Radio show from your living room.
this is so full of fail it hurts.
