I like the way he says he's not intending for this to be a post teaching someone how to comment spam. It's to teach somene how to be a valuable contributor. I have a do follow blog and know what he means. :-)

If you are a regular commenter, someone who has "the gift of gab" or the "gift of commenting", then it may be worth it to you to visit some dofollow blogs. Just make sure that you make good, useful comments.

A while back I made my blog a dofollow blog...and I am glad I did it. I do, though, nuke a lot of trolls' comments that are manually added but are just junk.

I've never seen this "do follow" tag thing in anyone's code. Can't see any reference to it in any of the specs either.

DoFollow isn't a tag, the actual tag is rel=nofollow ... but I'm hoping you're not being serious there. As for "comment spam", if you're a regular commentor, it's a great way to build some quality links. If the article becomes popular, you may even end up with some quality traffic as well.
