Kims amazing, hitting that nail right on the head with this topic. You go Kim, you rock.... you roll... and you even string along ;)
Very well written Kim.
Its often hard for us to even envision what may happen through our little deceptions and "evil" actions, but we must remember that once its out there on the net, its out there and you cant really make it go away - not ever. There are so many things you can do that seem fairly harmless at the time that can come back and take a really big bite out of your butt! Things like creating false personas, commenting as someone you are not, "exchanging" links and then no-following them, saying mean or untrue things about people to get links or to make yourself look better, etc. Some people can obviously justify to themselves that doing these things are okay, but we all really know they are not. We know they are just Machevellian bullies. Think karma. Think golden rule. Then, think sustainability for your business and your reputation. Thanks Kim!
As I commented on the post, Spot on, Kim. It’s a topic that needs to be aired. I think part of the problem is that with a keyboard or even voice recognition software, it’s so quick and easy to blurt out what you’re thinking. You can even Ping it to a whole cluster of social media. You should at least count to 10. Or if something is really contentious, perhaps wait overnight. When we were all writing with quills on parchment, I don’t believe there were so many problems like this.
Good point.
