Dave Snyder goes on a rant about being a glass chewer. He says, "If your going to talk, back it up, and back it up with what is real." If you are not a glass chewer then I suggest you stay away from Dave or he will punch you in the throat!!!

pageone, nice to see you over here. I too have found it a bit confusing as to whether comments are better on the blog or over here. I will tell you one thing though, when I get comments, it makes me happy.

So cheers David! Here is a comment!

"what is the protocol?"

What most comment readers I think are looking for are new ideas posted twitter-style. Verbose is good as long as you make every word count. While that's what readers are probably looking for it doesn't mean you have to give them what they want.

There are different reasons for posting on a blog instead of on Sphinn. If a post is really old, for example, comment on the blog.

Another question is who is your comment for? If you post on a low-traffic blog, chances are your comment will be invis. No problem with that if you want to say something to the blogger, but potentially a big problem if you want to to spread a message. It depends on your intentions.

This was my blog post, and I really like Sphinn comments more than comments on my blog, just for the reason of social interaction.

Not sure how all this started.

I love adding into the conversatoins with all of my pieces. I just love conversation, its what speaks to me about the internet.

I think this is a great conversation to have.

It's a shame yet another thread here has been dragged offtopic today.
