It shouldn’t be the be all and end all of Twitter, but lots of people are focused on getting as many people to follow them as possible.

Personally I would rather have a few people really interested in what I have to share than thousands who are just following me in the hope I will follow them back.

But people like Kevin Rose and Robert Scoble have thousands of followers seriously interested in what they have to say - what’s not to like about that?

Will have to check this out...I'm 37 away from 1000, but can't seem to get over the hump. (Not that I've tried, other than a little silly begging today.)
