Some Twitters have reported today they have noticed that Twitter has unfollowed all or most of their followers!
For example Andy Beal has lost 1800 followers :-)

No longer down.And apparently I haven’t lost any followers. But I’ll be monitoring the numbers from now on, just in case.
Yep lost 50 followers here, can see the same has happened to lots of people. I’ve been loosing connections though randomly for months, I only realise when I see someone message@ someone I know I was following and can’t see the other half of the conversation. Twitter really is some flakey software :)Igor thinks that they have restored an old database that is 3 weeks old. lost over 100 followers and everyone I was following
I had about 50 followers added within 2 minutes a couple days ago, which I thought was suspicious, and then lost over 100 followers overnight, or about 15% of my followers. I figured there was a spam influx and then it corrected itself, and maybe that happened across the board?And yeah, I haven’t seen updates in a while from certain folks and thought maybe they lost interest in tweeting. But it could be we’ve been disconnected. It’s a heck of a pain to manage your followers though, once you get over 100 followers, clicking through your pages just doesn’t cut it...
It started yesterday in that I couldn’t send messages to people, it said they weren’t following. Then it all went offline for hours.Anyone I started following in the last two weeks has vanished.I re-followed a few that I could remember, and when I refreshed the page, their avatars vanished again.I gained several followers today, but the total number is still way less than it was yesterday. It’s seriously broken in many ways.
g1smd,I’m gonna follow you on Twitter right now. You may wish to take a look on whom I following. I guess you would find several of the Twitters you had followed too. Hope that helps :-)
