Sells the sizzle, but does not deliver the steak! If that was all that was necessary to put an end to someone, we would all be dead by now.

Well said.
One of those posts that make you want to create a second account to vote twice.
This is really sad! But you know the internet is full of people and not all people are good!
Can that article be written again in English and with grammer intact?
Here is the edited version:

try again is that better of you http://www.davidnaylor.co.uk/is-this-the-end-for-matt-cutts.html
I commented on Dave's blog, but I want to reiterate that I wasn't aware of the fact that the conversation between Marty and Matt that was referenced in the post was a private one, and it wasn't identified as such until Matt Cutts said so.
A click-inducing title and then...? Not much of interest or use, only for totally self-absorbed SEOs (our industry this, our industry that ... ad nauseam)
Desphunn.
Our conversation was SO casual, at a bowling alley, with people stepping up, standing there and overhearing most everything we said.
I did not think of it as private.I did not think out the ramifications of my representing anything he might have said regarding "spam." I see now that this put him in a "position." I apologized. When Matt Cutts says what he does or does not think is spam sends mice scurrying.
In my world, with casual acquaintances, we flag anything confidential as such to avoid misunderstanding. I assumed anything he told me was open to be repeated. We don't know each other so I had no reason to think he was sharing anything proprietary with me or that the "privacy" was to be assumed or coveted. It's amazing to me that I could be so naïve.
Welcome to our world, Marty. ;-)
And it doesn't just affect conversations with Matt or other SE reps, it's across the board. There was a similar situation a couple of years ago when somebody repeated something overheard in a conference speakers' room. Basic unwritten rule: If it isn't said from a lectern or in a seminar room, think twice, three times, about the exact nature of the conversation before repeating it.
Folks!
Time For Healing....
Our SEO/SEM communities have been through some rough time recently.
People have apologized.
Now we need to forgive, resume friendships and make new friends ;-)
If in doubt, ask. If not in doubt, ask just to be sure.
Ancient proverb: "Good manners are like gold".
