When used properly, Yahoo answers can actually send more free targeted traffic than Yahoo organic search.

Yeah, Yahoo answers works. And most of the questions are so easy.

I certainly use Yahoo Answers as part of the clients online marketing strategy. It depends what product you are promoting, however its the quality of the answer which gives:

1. The best answer

2. Improve kudos

I regular check web analytics for traffic analysis and it does generate qualified traffic, not a shed load mind you but its free targeted traffic, and also helps to improve brand awareness and repeat visits.

this is so true. i spend 10 minutes on yahoo answers a day dropping the same link on 4 or 5 questions, and the traffic just keeps on coming in.

not to mention the person who asked the question is thrilled to have the site "come to them" instead of seeking it out themselves.
