Not all the Top 100 sites are like bad, uncommunicative boyfriends but this article makes an excellent point about following your own blogging goals.

The Top 100 is social proof and achieving that, without sacrificing your own personal interests or goals, will also increase conversions as well... so it swings both ways. :)
