SEOs look at the source code of almost every page - I do even when I am not analyzing the page and just browsing. That’s quite natural, I’ve been looking for tools that can represent the information in a better way or allow for more valuable options to experiment with.

I was already using several of those (HTML Validator, Firebug, YSlow), as well as Live HTTP Headers, ShowIP, Check Page Links, Server Spy, etc, but PageDiff is new to me, and just great.

Great article - although I have to admit the best one on my list is Firebug as mentioned by g1smd. Also got to have the Web Developer toolbar with it for that perfect combination!

Good list.  I had not known about some of those extensions, and they are quite useful.

Great list! I’m a web developer and I didn’t know all of these. While they wouldn’t make it into my top 5 plugins for web developers, they definitely look useful.
