i’ve been using the new digg for a few hours now and like most of the features on the site. the one concern i have, one that a friend (mark/aidenag) pointed out, is the mandatory use of zip codes for all users wanting to add a location from the united states or canada.

Easy one! In the future they can advertise products from nearby providers or just allow you to find people in your area. Maybe they’ll become a dating service ;) (I always add 90210. It’s the only one I know!)

Digg is planning to become another facebook. The zip code will help them in local ad targeting.
