Uncle Peppers talks about how Sphinn has taken the fun out of being an SEO blogger. From regurgitated headlines to pointless topics, the SEO space has become completely clogged. This isn’t the fault of Sphinn, but it just shows the severity of it all.

Sphinn makes you hate SEO? Why not just not visit Sphinn? This article is just as unoriginal and useless as everything he mentions.(Edit: Can’t desphinn because of min character limit issues)

While just another clone of why I hate Sphinn it manages to touch upon a few good points. And, I guess if a specific blogger is leaving the business, then that would qualify as a Sphinn worthy news story? Then when the Dude decides upon a SEO come back, that would also be another Sphinn worthy news story. While good stuff on plain old SEO is not Sphinn worthy at all, since they are never news stories?Mean while, I am enjoying Sphinn and getting a lot of good stuff off of it.

Something funky happened there. A new submission decription turned into a comment here. Apologies.

If you don’t like it then why not just use RSS and read the feeds that you like? I find all of the criticism of sphinn to be somewhat strange. Can anyone show a social media site that doesn’t have spam, rehashed blog posts, and power users? The only website that was ever better than Sphinn was Threadwatch and that was only because there were few members and they were extremely knowledgeable.

@Chris21:  I like your avatar@DarkMatter:  I used to rely on Sphinn to give me a condensed form of the SEO blogs, because looking through the feeds was, like, totally wicked repetitive.  But now, it seems like the Chaff has enveloped the wheat and is laughing at me.  @PersonWhoInevitablyAsksWhyI’mStillHereCommentingOnMy"IQuit"BlogPost:  Narcissism

Why do so many people who hate sphinn find it impossible to look away? Is it like a car crash?

Ironicly, this is yet-more Sphinn-bait, which contributes to the issues the writer bemoans.

Your post turned me on to your blog, which is sort of the point of all this, right? So, it will kind of suck that you’re not posting anymore, and new people aren’t finding you.

Excellent use of the word "craptacular"! Always in favour of good, descriptive language... If more bloggers and copywriters made use of the Urban Dictionary then SEO blogs would make infinitely more interesting reading.

I like watching 4 different bloggers write on the exact same topic, exact same quality post and seeing which gets the most Sphinns.  Watch it you will start to see a interesting trend develop in Sphinnland.

Sorry this isn’t news. I’m also feeling the irony Marty mentions in his comment.

another whiney rant. if sphinn makes you quit your blog then you probably shouldn’t have been blogging.
