Why indeed would someone use Google when they could use Zillow?
Personally, I think it was an ingenius move on his part. It certainly isnt something many people would have thought to do. Ill pretend Vanessa didnt just do some shameless self promotion and say that this guy is in Utah - there are a LOT of pool businesses that could really benefit from this across the country - in addition to the other ones mentioned in the blog. Hell, if I were a pool contractor, Id be zooming in on the more prominent neighborhoods and contacting those *without* pools.
And funny enough Zillow is actually down right now...so I guess Ill have to settle with Google Earth then.
Because they are updating! So they can be even better! And stuff!
Brilliant! Only a matter of time until theres advertising on the top of Semi-trucks and buildings... & LOL@Ken :D
such a good idea and use of technology. How can I use this now... hmmm
How long till I can use Google Earth to spy on my own backyard - in real time to see if my kids are "Throwin a Kegger" while my Wife and I are away?
Its people like that who will really succeed in their field. Props to the pool guy for being so creative and "savvy".
Great thinking there. Of course, search out the homes with large gardens and you go hunting for lawn care jobs too!
what a brilliant marketer! What other verticals do you think his ingenious idea can be applied to?
Have to say clever idea Chris Macall, found a niche on his doorstep and exploited it. Should look at cities with similar climates, franchise the business and expand nationwide
I have a friend with a pool business in Orlando and I just called him to giving him this idea. Great idea!
eh, with the price of gas hed have likely been better off just buying a general mailing list for the area...
