This news is a bit late, but again, I cant get used to the new Props :(
Talk about jumping on this whole "Web 2.0" design late. Good Lord. But your analysis was great and I couldnt agree more. Propellers new design = Failure.
Ill reserve judgement until when and if I am able to log in again.
@clickfire: good luck, this feature is one of their most complex :)
@anthony: I love space and light designs... when there is a reason :)
Its bad but not due to "wasted space". Its not at all usable. The white space though is one of the best things about it.
Totally sphunn solely for "AOL..... that explains it."
AOL explains a lot of GREAT things lately - like Engadget amazing design (hah)
They used to have amazing SERPs as well - like in the top page or two for news and stuff on Google.com. The new design has killed many of them. It looks like a blog now and not a social news site - Sphunn.
Its not like if they ever though of redirecting all of their URLs or thought about any interlinking done.AOL - that explains it (sorry, I love this sentence too much!)
I have to agree on this one..Im a bit disappointed of Propellers new look.
"Ill reserve judgement until when and if I am able to log in again".Clickfire, I think they also started to close, dlete some accounts. I heard that from other people as well.
